Elvira Silva-De Vera graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she began her nursing career at a medical surgical inpatient unit in the Upper Keys. She later worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and went on to a leadership role on an oncology unit. While working full time as a registered nurse, she attended Chamberlain University where Elvira obtained her Masters in Nursing. She practiced in a private family medical office as a primary care nurse practitioner while teaching mental health to nursing students at the University level. She later attended the University of North Florida where she received a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a post-masters certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is dual Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Elvira truly believes that her professional experience, compassion and listening skills are what helps her work with her patients and be able to make a positive impact in their lives. She enjoys working with her patients and helping them on their journey to better mental health.
